Events  See Special Concert Information Besides a series of free summer Concerts, which has it own page, the RCTA stages a variety of events, including tournaments, picnics, tennis parties, and social gatherings. This year's are listed below as soon as the date is firm. In addition, we run a series of Speed Tennis events, run by RCTA member Dorlene Kaplan: Speed Tennis: Dorlene Kaplan's Speed Tennis is a two-hour round-robin doubles event that allows you to play with several partners and against several opponents. It's a great way to meet a lot of tennis players in a short time and find new playing partners. This year's schedule is as follows:

| Pe de Boi, the samba band headed by Brazilian-born Marcio Sapel, opened for Rod Stewart at the Meadowlands and performs in such local clubs as S.O.B.'s, Jazz Forum, the Blue Note, and the Village Gate. Sapel hemself has performed with Paul Winters, Billy Joel, Keith Richards, Oscar Castro Neves, and Walter Wanderley. |
